We are delighted to announce that research carried out by Whiteford Geoservices has been featured in Issue 2 2026 of GIM International, one of the world's leading geospatial industry publications.
The article, which appears on page 9, details the findings of a drone-borne airborne gamma-ray spectrometry survey of 118 hectares of terrain carried out as part of a wind farm site investigation in Ireland. The project demonstrated that spatial variations in peat thickness can be reliably assessed using airborne survey methods, offering significant efficiency advantages over traditional ground-based approaches in difficult terrain.
The survey was carried out in collaboration with our partners Medusa Geoservices of Groningen, The Netherlands.
