Whiteford Geoservices have been awarded the contract to undertake preliminary investigation and survey works for the proposed Diamond Jubilee Bridge by Wandsworth and Richmond Councils.
The Diamond Jubilee Footbridge is an exciting project to construct a new pedestrian and cycle bridge across the River Thames in the shadow of the existing Battersea Rail Bridge. Designed to accommodate a predicted 1.2 million pedestrian and cycle journeys a year, the bridge was conceived at the time of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II.
The geotechnical and geophysical surveys are anticipated to commence in March 2018.
